Migration guides by source
cPanel to cPanel
Record PHP, databases, mailboxes, DNS zones, cron jobs and account size. Create a complete backup only after confirming enough destination space and a supported restoration path.
DirectAdmin transfer
Confirm user-level backup scope, database engines, PHP versions and custom DNS records. Restore into a temporary test state before changing nameservers.
WordPress website
Copy files and database, update configuration carefully, test permalinks, forms, scheduled tasks, admin access and plugin compatibility on the destination.
DNS cutover
Lower TTL in advance where appropriate, preserve every required record, change the authoritative route in a controlled window and monitor both old and new endpoints.
Closure
Keep the source active through the validation window. Cancel only after application, mail, SSL, scheduled tasks, logs and rollback records have been reviewed.
Migration FAQ
Before the move begins
Can KingHost guarantee a zero-downtime migration?
No universal zero-downtime guarantee is possible. Downtime risk depends on DNS, application writes, mail routing and source access, so the migration plan must define an acceptable window and rollback.
Should I cancel my old hosting first?
No. Keep the source service active until the destination has been tested and the agreed validation period is complete.
Are mailboxes included in every migration?
No. Mail is assessed separately because source protocols, storage, passwords and DNS routing vary.
What access is required?
KingHost will confirm the minimum authorized source access after reviewing the platform and migration method.
Where can I confirm current prices?
Use the live KingHost catalogue and order summary. They show the active product, currency, billing period and total before payment.
Which currencies can I use?
Available display and payment currencies appear in the currency selector. The invoice confirms the currency used for the transaction.
How should I ask for help?
Sign in to the client area and open a ticket with the affected service, domain, timestamp, exact error and recent changes.
Should I keep my own backup?
Yes. Keep an independent, tested copy of important data outside the live hosting account, even when a product includes a backup feature.
Can service features change?
Product resources and availability can change. The live product description and checkout are the source of truth for a new order.
Can I upgrade later?
Eligible services can be reviewed for an upgrade when a larger active product is available. The order summary shows any applicable charge before confirmation.
