Fair-use terms
Free Hosting Policy
Effective 7 September 2026. Clear terms for keeping free website hosting useful, secure and available.
1. Who can use the plan
The free plan is intended for genuine websites operated through an accurate KingHost account. One free service may be limited per customer, household or organisation so capacity remains available to more people.
2. Bring a valid domain
The website must use a valid domain controlled by the customer. Domain registration, transfer, renewal and redemption charges are separate from free hosting, and the customer must keep the domain active.
3. Website hosting only
The free plan does not provide mailboxes, outbound SMTP, webmail, autoresponders, forwarding, mailing lists or newsletter delivery. Customers may use a suitable external email provider and must configure its DNS records correctly.
4. Resources, backups and availability
Current storage, bandwidth, database, inode, CPU and memory limits are displayed with the free product. The plan has no paid-service SLA. Customers should keep an independent current backup and may upgrade when the website needs more capacity.
5. Fair use
Keep the website lawful and secure. Do not use free hosting for spam, phishing, malware, credential theft, unauthorized access, proxy or VPN services, mining, abusive automation, illegal content, infringement, resale or workloads that materially affect other customers.
6. Service changes and protection
KingHost may limit, suspend or withdraw a free service when it is inactive, compromised, abusive, outside the published limits or a risk to the platform. The programme and its limits may change as capacity changes.
7. Upgrade or leave
A website can move to an eligible paid LiteSpeed hosting plan when it needs email, additional resources or commercial support. The customer may also export the website and move elsewhere, subject to keeping an independent backup and an active domain.
